Despite much protest, Time Warner Cable seem to be dead set on issuing bandwidth caps on their subscribers. Caps start at 1, 10, 20, 40, 60, or 100GB depending on your service plan, and overage charges of $2 or $1 dollar per GB depending on your service plans. The good news? well TWC has set a cap on overage charges to $75. What this means is that for $150, you can have unlimited bandwidth.
Personally this is a big blow to me as I live in an area limited to Time Warner Cable. But believe me when I will move to an area where I am out side TWC’s reaches the minute these caps are put into action in my area. With online video streaming, web page ads, music streaming and other bandwidth sucking applications out today. a cap on your internet service is utterly pathetic, especially for the amount TWC is charging.
Well enough of my painful experiences with TWC, read up on the service plans and bandwidth caps for yourself.
